Application

Medical oxygen is used for breathing and therapeutic purposes (cardiovascular insufficiency, ischemia, hypoxic conditions, angina, pneumonia, asthma, during anesthesia, and other medical cases).

  • In hyperbaric chambers
  • Refilling oxygen generators (oxygen masks, cushions, etc.)
  • In rooms with a special microclimate
  • In the production of oxygen cocktails
  • For cultivating microorganisms on petroleum waxes
High pressure gas cylinders, bottles and storage

  • Oxygen is packaged in cylinders with a volume of 50L and 40L. It is also possible to fill smaller cylinders corresponding to the gas type. For medium consumption needs, medical oxygen can be supplied in monoblocks and bundles containing 10 or 12 cylinders.
  • Packaging, labeling, transportation, and storage of medical oxygen should comply with GOST 26460-85. The nominal pressure of oxygen at 20°C during filling, storage, and transportation of cylinders should be (14.7 + 0.5) MPa (150 + 5) kgf/cm² or (19.6 + 1.0) MPa [(200 + 10) kgf/cm²].
  • Returnable cylinders and receivers should have a residual oxygen pressure not lower than 0.05 MPa (0.5 kgf/cm²).
  • Cylinders of small volume without caps and boots should be additionally packed in boxes made according to the approved technical documentation. Cylinders of medium volume are placed in specialized metal containers for the optimization of loading and unloading operations and grouping of cylinders for transportation by road.
  • Transport marking should be done according to GOST 14192-77 with the application of the handling sign <Sensitive to heat>, danger signs according to GOST 19433-81 for classes 2 and 5, subclass 2.1; classification code of group 2121.
  • Cylinders filled with oxygen are transported by various types of transport in accordance with the rules for the transportation of dangerous goods applicable to the specific type of transport and the rules for the safe operation of pressure vessels approved by the State Industrial Safety Inspectorate.
  • Cylinders filled with oxygen are stored in special warehouse premises or in open areas under a canopy that protects the cylinders from atmospheric precipitation and direct sunlight. Storage of oxygen cylinders and cylinders containing other gases is only allowed in separate isolated premises.
